USPS Partners With Toys R Us For Operation Santa

Private citizens, companies, community groups and schools then anonymously fill wish lists assisting thousands of families each year.

The U.S. Postal Service is partnering with Toys R Us to offer a new digital pipeline for kids to send letters to Santa.

The ‘Operation Santa’ program has been around for decades with the postal service handling letters addressed to Santa at the North Pole.

Private citizens, companies, community groups and schools then anonymously fill wish lists assisting thousands of families each year.

This year, letter adoptees can browse and purchase toys from a specially curated e-commerce Toys R Us digital site. It aims to make it easier for people to get involved in the gift-giving program.

The postal service began accepting letters on September 16.

Nearly 30,000 santa letters received a response last year.
