IAM Union Members Accept Boeing’s New Contract Offer
The move comes after the IAM union previously rejected three other offers that did not meet their satisfaction.
Members of the IAM union voted in favor of boeing’s latest proposal ending a months long strike.
Of the 33,000 striking workers, 59% of them voted to accept the new deal.
The contract will increase wages by 39% over four-years.
It also provides a $12,000 cash bonus to hourly workers as well as increased contributions to retirement savings plans.
The move comes after the IAM union previously rejected three other offers that did not meet their satisfaction.
Workers went on strike on September 13 and the approval of the deal ends the costliest strike in the U.S. in over 25 years.
