Balloons Identified As Mysterious Object Recovered From Ocean

Shortly after 11am Sunday, police were called to the area of 18th Avenue South.

The search was on for a mysterious object that was witnessed falling from the sky in the Myrtle Beach area.

Shortly after 11am Sunday, police were called to the area of 18th Avenue South for an object that was seen landing in the ocean.

The U.S. Coast Guard launched a helicopter to aid the search.

The object was recovered by Horry County Police Beach Patrol.

It was identified as a large cluster of party balloons. It is unclear where the balloons were set free from.
