Ribbon Cutting Ceremony To Open New Trails For Kids In Georgetown Co.

Festivities will start at Rocky Point Landing at 11am with the ribbon to be cut at the welcome kiosk.

Georgetown County Parks and Recreation and the Kids in Parks Program will be revealing a new project soon.

A ribbon cutting ceremony is set to be held for newly added outdoor adventure trails for kids in the area.

The event will be held on November 13.

Festivities will start at Rocky Point Landing at 11am with the ribbon to be cut at the welcome kiosk. After which attendees can enjoy a hike along the trail in the rocky point community forest.

There is also a track at Eight Oaks Park and Stables Park.

The ‘TRACK Trails’ offer visitors a series of self-guided activity brochures and helps children learn about the varieties of oak, maple and pine trees lined along the pathway.
