Suspect Arrested After Refusing To Leave Georgetown Co. School Property

Police were called to McDonald Elementary School to investigate reports of shots fired nearby.
One man was taken into custody after refusing to leave school property. He admitted to possessing a firearm but reportedly ditched it somewhere on school grounds.
A K9 team was called to assist in the search for the gun.
The suspect was taken to the Georgetown County Detention Center.
The school went on to continue operating as normal.
