Amazon Reveals Refreshed Kindle Line-Up Including First Color Display
The new features and updates mark the largest single refresh the Kindle line-up has ever had.
For the first time ever, Amazon is releasing a Kindle e-reader with a color display.
Since the Kindle was first introduced in 2007, every device has had a black-and-white screen.
The new Kindle Colorsoft has a display that is designed to ensure colors don’t appear washed out or pixelated. The device reportedly has “weeks of battery life.” It is retailing for $279 and can be pre-ordered now to be shipped on October 30.
Amazon also revealed a “refreshed” Kindle Scribe with new note-taking features for $399 and an updated Kindle Paperwhite for $159 as well as a 12th generation Kindle for $109.
