Date Set For Alex Murdaugh’s Insurance Trial

The company argues that money should have gone to the family of Murdaugh's former housekeeper Gloria Satterfield.

Alex Murdaugh’s insurance trial date has been set.

The former South Carolina lawyer is being sued in federal court by Nautilus Insurance Company for $3.8 million.

The company argues that money should have gone to the family of Murdaugh’s former housekeeper Gloria Satterfield. She died on the Murdaugh’s property in february of 2018.

The family reportedly never saw the insurance settlement from Satterfield’s death. Murdaugh is accused of stealing it from the family.

The trial date is set for January 6 at 9am. It will take place in Charleston.

Judge Richard Gergel will be presiding over the trial that will be conducted after jury selection concludes.
