Boeing Withdraws Previous Offer After Failed Negotiation Efforts With Union

The aviation giant proposed a 30% pay raise over four years as its best and final offer. However, it is not the 40% the union demanded.

Boeing is withdrawing its previous offer to striking workers.

More than 30,000 boeing workers in the northwest of the U.S. went on strike last month after rejecting a tentative deal that included a 25% pay raise.

The aviation giant then proposed a 30% pay raise over four years as its best and final offer. However, that is lower than the 40% being demanded by members of the IAM Union.

Boeing said the union is not giving its proposals serious consideration and has made non-negotiable demands far from what can be accepted if they want to remain a competitive business.

Therefor, Boeing announced further negotiations does not make sense and they take back their previous offer.

Union representatives argue Boeing is not willing to negotiate the terms of their latest offer and they are not willing to move in the union’s direction.

The walkouts have led to the shut down of production and setbacks
