Traffic Stop Leads To Discovery Of 155-Pounds Of Marijuana

A California man was arrested after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs.

Tuesday, an officer pulled over 49-year-old Yongis Wang. He was stopped for speeding along Highway 74 business at Highway 79 in Scotland County.

During the stop, deputies conducted an investigation that prompted a K9 unit to be brought to the scene. K9 Ghost had a positive hit which led to 155-pounds of marijuana with a street value of $177,000.

The drugs were seized and Wang was arrested. He is being held at the Scotland County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
