Ryan Routh Pleads Not Guilty To Trump Assassination Attempt

Routh faces five charges including the assassination attempt, gun charges and assaulting an officer.

The suspect accused in Donald Trump’s second assassination attempt has pleaded not guilty.

Armed with a rifle between two bags packed with bulletproof plates, Ryan Routh allegedly had a clear shot of the 6th hole green at the golf course Trump was playing on.

The suspect was spotted by Secret Service who was ahead of the former president. The agents fired at Routh who fled the scene. He was later located and arrested.

An investigation revealed Routh left a letter with a witness who came forward after his arrest. It included a $150,000 reward offer to whoever could complete the job that he could not get done.

Routh faces five charges including the assassination attempt, gun charges and assaulting an officer. He pled not guilty to each charge.

Judge Aileen Cannon has been appointed to oversee this case, who dismissed criminal classified documents mishandling charges against Trump earlier this year.
