Boston’s Skinny House Built Out of Spite
The 10-foot-wide Boston home is rumored to have been built out of spite and sold for $1.25 million in 2021.
A skinny house in Boston is going viral, not just because of its unusual size, but for the story behind its construction. According to local legends, the 10-foot-wide home was built in the mid 1800s due to a feud between two brothers. After discovering his sibling had claimed most of their shared land, one brother constructed the slim house out of spite, strategically blocking sunlight from parts of his brothers larger home. The property was last sold in 2021 for $1.25 million.
