Hurricane Helene Has Left At Least Six People Dead
More than four million customers were without power across Florida, Georgia as well as the Carolinas.
Hurricane Helene made landfall late Thursday night as a Category 4 storm.
Helene crashed into Florida’s Big Bend region, bringing winds up to 140 miles-per-hour and life-threatening storm surges.
It has since weakened to a tropical storm.
More than four million customers were without power across Florida, Georgia as well as the Carolinas as of Friday morning.
At least six storm related deaths have been reported in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina.
The full extent of damage from Helene is still unknown at this time as it continues on it’s path, but is expected to be “catastrophic.”
