The suspect of Donald Trump’s latest assassination attempt has now been charged.
Ryan Routh is accused of staking out the former president for 12-hours on his golf course in Florida. He also allegedly wrote of his desire to kill him in a handwritten note.
Routh offered $150,000 for anyone who could “finish the job.” The note was reportedly found in a box he had dropped off at the home of a witness months before his arrest.
Trump’s Secret Service spotted Routh aiming a rifle through the brush alongside the course Trump was playing on. They then fired toward him prompting him to flee. He was later located and arrested.
Routh has now been indicted on an attempted assassination charge. Judge Aileen Cannon has been assigned to his case.
