Man Dies After Single-Vehicle Crash During Police Pursuit

A 2008 Mercury Sedan was traveling west on Daisy Road as police were pursuing the vehicle.

One man died as a result of a single-vehicle crash in the Loris area.

Shortly after 6:30am Monday, a 2008 Mercury Sedan was traveling west on Daisy Road as police were pursuing the vehicle.

During the chase, the driver of the suspected vehicle veered off the left side of the road. The Sedan rolled over several times before striking a tree near Tansy Road.

38-year-old Martin McFeely was the driver of the Sedan and did not survive the injuries he sustained.

It is unclear why police were attempting to stop the suspect at this time. Further details remain limited as an investigation is underway.
