Body Of Suspected Kentucky Interstate Shooter Possibly Discovered
The discovered body ends an 11-day manhunt that stretched deep into a forest and put surrounding communities on edge.
Investigators believe they found the body of the suspected gunman in the interstate highway shooting that unfolded in Kentucky.
The body, believed to be that of Joseph Couch, was found Wednesday afternoon by a civilian couple as well as two troopers.
It was found in deep rural brush off I-75 northwest of London, Kentucky. The troopers were drawn to the area by circling vultures and an odor of decay.
Investigators believe the body is Couch’s because of the articles associated with the remains. Also, a weapon that was found with the body. However, a cause of death has not been announced.
Couch is accused of shooting five people and dozens of cars traveling along the intestate.
