A highway in Robeson County is set to close for around two months starting next week.

The intersection of NC-710 and Deep Branch Road will be closed starting at 7am on Monday.

During the closure, workers will remove the existing traffic signal and some of the asphalt as well as pave and install concrete curbs. A new culvert pipe will also be placed underneath the highway.

Drivers will be detoured using NC-711, Redmond Road, Deep Branch Road, Three Bridges Road and US-74 Alternate.

Travellers are advised to look out for crews and equipment during the closure.

The road is expected to reopen by late November.
