Man Faces Several Charges After Firing Into A Home And At An Officer

One man is facing several charges after an incident led to shots fired at a police officer.
Around 9pm on Thursday, Horry County police responded to a home along Shady Lane in the Longs area on reports of a shooting.
57-year-old John Wilson reportedly attempted to enter the home and after failing to do so, he allegedly shot a rifle at the house while four people were inside.
When the officer arrived, Wilson allegedly shot at them as well, damaging their department vehicle.
No one was injured in the incident.
Wilson was charged with four counts of attempted murder, first-degree burglary and one county of malicious injury to personal property. He was taken to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
