We’ve all heard of celebrating weddings with friends through a bachelorette party, but have you ever considered taking the time to celebrate the occasion by yourself? Lifestyle writer Kristine Thomason shared her experience of having what she calls a “solorette party” to usher herself into the newest chapter of her life. What started as a plan to step back from chaotic wedding planning turned into a solo trip filled with yoga, wine tasting, and peaceful dinners alone. She says her biggest takeaway from her solorette was to slow down and not lose sight of who you are and why you’re having a wedding in the first place.
