Meals On Wheels Is On Its Way To Gaining A Forever Home

A local family gifted the deed to the land off Highway 701 along Adrian Parkway in Conway.

A non-profit on the Grand Strand has now found it’s forever home.

Meals on Wheels temporarily stopped serving meals last December when high rent forced them to move out of their last building.

The non-profit has recently been operating out of a kitchen at Horry Georgetown Technical College.

Meals on Wheels hosted its annual gala on Friday where it received a $100,000 anonymous donation and 20 acres of land.

A local family gifted the deed to the land off Highway 701 along Adrian Parkway in Conway.

The non-profit now plans to build a permanent home there for $1.7 million after moving buildings nine times in the last ten years.
