Part Of VP Nominee Tim Walz’s Motorcade Was Involved In A Crash
The van was struck by another vehicle from behind. Walz's vehicle was not involved in the crash.
Vans carrying members of the press that were part of Vice President Candidate Tim Walz’s motorcade were involved in a crash Monday.
Journalists traveling with the Minnesota governor said the crash occurred shortly before 1pm along Interstate 794. Walz was heading to an event celebrating Labor Day in Milwaukee.
A staff member on board one of the press vans appeared to have a broken arm and was treated by medics.
The van was struck by another vehicle from behind. Walz’s vehicle was not involved in the crash.
The vice presidential nominee said there were a few minor injuries but everyone is going to be okay.
Vice President Kamala Harris called Walz to check on him after the incident.
Republican Vice Presidential Nominee, Sen. JD Vance, also sent well wishes, writing, “hoping everyone’s ok.”
