SCDNR Offering Free Boat Inspections During Labor Day Weekend
Those not compliant will be given an opportunity to correct the problem before launching their boat.
The SCDNR Law Enforcement division will be conducting courtesy boat inspections at public boat landings this weekend.
Labor Day weekend is one of the busiest boating times of the year for South Carolina waterways.
The agency is offering to inspect your boat for free to help keep people safe.
Those not compliant with safety regulations or registration requirements will not be ticketed during the complimentary inspections. They will instead be given an opportunity to correct the problem before launching their boat.
The inspections will be conducted starting Saturday through Monday.
