Juvenile Arrested In Connection To Shooting That Led To Fatal ATV Crash
18-year-old Zahquan Stewart was found dead in the bushes next to an ATV that had crashed into a tree.
A 16-year-old has been charged in connection to a shooting that led to an ATV crash resulting in death.
The incident occurred around 8pm on Thursday in the area of Deluca and Berry streets in Laurinburg.
A 14-year-old was found lying next to the road, but it is unclear if he was shot or not. 18-year-old Zahquan Stewart was found dead in the bushes next to an ATV that had crashed into a tree.
Officers later discovered a 13-year-old was also involved and suffered a gunshot wound but had been taken to a hospital by a personal vehicle.
An investigation revealed the three were riding on the ATV when two other individuals began shooting at them, causing the driver to lose control.
The 13 and 14-year-old’s conditions are unclear at this time.
The 16-year-old suspect’s name has not been publicly revealed but he now faces charges including murder.
An investigation is still underway.
