Darlington Raceway Sued Over Incident Involving Injuries
The lawsuit alleges that the defendants were grossly negligent in their actions for an incident that occurred in September of 2022.
A lawsuit has been filed against Darlington Raceway and it’s former track president, Kerry Tharp.
The lawsuit alleges that the defendants were grossly negligent in their actions for an incident that occurred in September of 2022.
It was said Ryan Brandenburg, who is also being sued, consumed alcohol at the Darlington Raceway, causing him to be intoxicated or served while intoxicated in violation of the law.
After leaving the raceway, Brandenburg allegedly got behind the wheel of a car along Johnny Bruce Road.
Around 11pm he struck a vehicle that plaintiff, Jessica Wilde, was traveling in. She suffered serious and substantial injuries.
The lawsuit claims her injuries came about due to the defendants’ negligence surrounding the consumption of alcohol.
Darlington Raceway has not yet commented on the pending litigations.
