Harris Formally Accepts Democratic Nomination During DNC

Vice President Kamala Harris made history when she accepted her party’s presidential nomination. Her rise to the position makes her the first African American and first South Asian American woman to lead a major party ticket.
In her keynote address, Harris recalled her experience as the oldest daughter of immigrants and vowed to be president for “all Americans.”
In her speech, Harris also promised a tax cut for the middle class, stronger border security and to restore reproductive rights.
The Democratic presidential candidate is set to face off against Republican candidate Donald Trump in a presidential debate on September 10.
