BMW Recalls Over 720,000 Vehicles

BMW has placed a recall on over 720,000 vehicles.

The recall covers several models including the X-series cars.

It was placed due to water pumps used in the vehicles that have “insufficient sealing.” Over time, that could allow fluid into the electrical plug connectors. If the issue occurs, it could create a potential for short circuits and in some cases, fire.

Vehicles impacted by the recall can be inspected and if necessary, a shield would be installed to prevent fluid from leaking into the plug connector.
