72 Pro-Palestinian Demonstrators Arrested During Protests In Chicago

Many protesters were dressed in black with their faces covered.

Arrests were made in Chicago Tuesday as demonstrators take to the streets to protest the Israel and Hamas war.

Intense confrontations with officers broke out minutes into the demonstration. Many protesters were dressed in black with their faces covered. They charged at a line of police that had blocked the group from marching.

They were able to break through the officers barriers but were met by police in riot gear who did not allow protesters to disperse throughout the night. At least 72 people were arrested.

The protests come as the Democratic National Convention is being held in Illinois this week.
