The Israeli military announced it has recovered the bodies of six hostages.
The ages of the men range from 35-80. They were taken after the October 7 terror attacks against Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces said that troops recovered the bodies in an overnight operation in the city of Khan Younis in Southern Gaza.
The operation comes as the United States, Qatar and Egypt work to push for a ceasefire deal that would end Israel’s months-long military offensive in Gaza. It would also see the release of hostages who remain detained.
Both sides have agreed to the three-phase deal in principal, but each keep adding new suggestions and requests through the deal, making it difficult to proceed progressively.
