Horry County Moves To OPCON 1 Ahead Of Possible Flooding
The James R. Frazier Community Center in Bucksport has been opened for those who need to seek shelter.
Horry County has now moved to OPCON-1 ahead of anticipated flooding.
OPCON-1 is the highest level of emergency preparedness. That means the county’s emergency operations center has officially been activated.
Officials are continuing to monitor conditions along the Waccamaw, Great Pee Dee and Little Pee Dee rivers as well as the Intracoastal Waterway.
A voluntary evacuation order has been issued and the James R. Frazier Community Center in Bucksport has been opened for those who need to seek shelter.
