Cucumbers To Blame For Salmonella Outbreak
The affected vegetables were sold in 31 states including North and South Carolina.
The CDC has issued a new update on a multi-state salmonella outbreak.
Reports of diagnoses began on dates ranging from March 11 to June 4. It has since been determined that cucumbers from ‘Bedner Growers Inc.’ and ‘Thomas Produce Co.’ are the likely sources of illness.
The affected vegetables were sold in 31 states including North and South Carolina.
The outbreak has so far sickened nearly 450 people. Out of 360 people with available information, there have been 125 hospitalizations but no deaths reported.
People are urged to refrain from consuming cucumbers from either of the distributors.
