Horry County officials are attempting to mitigate flooding in Bucksport.

A notice was sent out warning residents that flooding may occur if conditions change or river forecasts evolve.

Officials are encouraging residents to have an emergency plan in place.

A shelter is now open at the James R. Frazier Community Center located along Bucksport Road.
