The death toll in Gaza has climbed to over 40,000 due to the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.
The United States, Qatar and Egypt are set to meet with an Israeli delegation to continue discussing the possibility of a ceasefire.
Hamas accuses Israel of adding new demands to a previous proposal that had U.S. and international support.
A ceasefire in Gaza would likely calm tensions across the region which have escalated after a top Hamas official was killed in a strike blamed on Israel. Iran and Hezbollah have vowed to retaliate to the strike though Israel has not claimed responsibility.

Israel and Hamas have each agreed in principle to the plan, but Hamas has proposed “amendments” and Israel has suggested “clarification.”
