Big Lots Announces Closure Of Over 300 Store Locations

Across the 48 states in which the retailer operates, seven are being closed in North Carolina and three in South Carolina.

Big Lots announced plans to close over 300 locations nationwide.

It was said the discount retailer reviews store footprints on an ongoing basis. While some are profitable, certain underperforming stores are being shut down.

The retailer plans to support its employees impacted by a closure, by accepting requests to transfer to another location. Workers unable to move to another store will be given severance.
