Two Men Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Two Victims With A Hammer

The two victims were taken to a hospital and both received three staples for their injuries.

Two men were arrested after allegedly assaulting two victims with a hammer at a boat landing in the Conway-area.

Shortly before 3am on Saturday, police were called to Punch Bowl Landing. Upon arrival, one of the victims reported she stepped in between to people attempting break up an argument. The argument was between the other victim and suspect Trevor Chadwell.

The woman reportedly stepped in between the two. That’s when 32-year-old Dale Johnson got out of a vehicle and allegedly attacked her with a hammer. She was struck in the head twice.

Johnson then approached the other victim and allegedly hit him in the back of the head with the hammer. Chadwell is accused of punching the man after he fell.

The two victims were taken to a hospital and both received three staples for their injuries.

Johnson was charged with two counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature while Chadwell was charged with third-degree assault and battery.
