Trump Agrees To Interview With FBI Regarding Assassination Attempt

Crooks also reportedly researched how far away John F. Kennedy's assassin was when he fatally shot the president.

Donald Trump has agreed to participate in an interview with the FBI regarding his assassination attempt.

The former president will sit for a “standard victim interview” about the shooting. The process is something the bureau called consistent with practices for any crime they investigate.

It was said the agency just wants Trump’s perspective on anything he observed, just like any other witness to the crime.

The FBI also revealed new details about its investigation into shooter Thomas Crooks, who in addition to injuring Trump, killed a rally attendee and injured two others after opening fire at the rally in Pennsylvania on July 13.

Ahead of the shooting, Crooks researched a recent failed assassination attempt of Slovakia’s prime minister. He also researched mass shooting events, explosive devices and power plants.

Crooks also reportedly researched how far away John F. Kennedy’s assassin was when he fatally shot the president. It was also revealed he visited the event site six days prior to the actual event.

The FBI has conducted 450 interviews so far in their investigation.
