The town’s council voted to appoint Ken Davis as the permanent police chief this week.
Davis has been serving as the interim chief since April after former Chief Kenny Hofmann resigned.
Davis has over 30 years of experience in the law enforcement field and has served in various leadership roles including deputy chief with Horry County and police chief in several areas throughout both South Carolina and Tennessee.
