Man Arrested After Threatening To “Blow Up” HCPD
Demetrick Simon reportedly called the evidence department to inquire about property that was seized when he was arrested last Tuesday
One man has been arrested after allegedly threatening the Horry County Police Department.
Shortly before 9am on Wednesday, 21-year-old Demetrick Simon reportedly called the evidence department to inquire about property that was seized when he was arrested last Tuesday. In that case, he was charged with receiving stolen goods and accessory after the fact to a felony and released on a $5,500 bond.
During the call, Simon allegedly got frustrated and threatened to “blow up the place.” Officials were able to track him down and arrest him. He is charged with threatening the life of a public officer and more.
Simon is being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center without bond.
