First S.C. Solar Panel EV Charging Station Built By Students Of Training Program

The money made by drivers using the chargers will go back into the program to help in training more people.

South Carolina now has it’s first solar panel EV charging station.

The four-car port was built in Georgetown County by 14 students enrolled in a solar and renewable energy training program. They were each paid $12 an hour and it took less than a month to complete the project.

Though they were paid, the solar paneled EV station was also part of their hands-on learning experience.
