Body Of Man Who Jumped From Bridge After Crash Located

Shortly before noon Tuesday, Lauver's body was recovered from the Waccamaw River.

The body of a man authorities have been searching for has been found.

On Sunday night 37-year-old Shawn Lauver was involved in a single-car crash along Highway 17 in Georgetown County.

The subject reportedly informed a passerby that he was drunk and not going to jail. He then fled the scene and jumped from a nearby bridge into the water. Authorities said they lost sight of him around 300-yards out.

An abundance of search and rescue teams have been working to locate the man after the incident.
