Body Of Missing Teen Recovered Near Huntington Beach State Park

The victim was reportedly swimming in the Pawleys Island area when he went missing.

The body of teenager reported missing on Friday, has been found.

Search and rescue efforts were underway Friday evening for 17-year-old Tyrese Haynes. He was reportedly swimming in the Pawleys Island area when he went missing.

Rough conditions forced a halt to the search which continued on Saturday.

Hayne’s body was recovered in the area of Huntington Beach State Park. An autopsy is set to be conducted at MSUC.

Haynes was a student of Waccamaw High School and an athlete on the basketball team.

Counselors from the Georgetown County School District are present at the school Monday to assist the community in processing the tragedy.
