CDK is a software firm that serves dealerships nationwide and a cyber attack last month sent businesses in a spiral while they were unable to access records or other info stored through software.

It appears that CDK has paid the hackers through a bitcoin transaction of around 387. That total is the equivalent of roughly $25 million.

The funds were sent to a cryptocurrency account controlled by hackers affiliated with a type of ransomware called Blacksuit

A after the payment was made, the company said car dealerships were slowly brought back online to its software platform.

CDK has declined to discuss the matter.
