The money is from unclaimed progressive jackpots. Nevada law says that players are obligated to receive progressive jackpots and that remaining funds must be paid out before a casino closes. For slot machines, the casino will give away 200-thousand in guaranteed winnings today…250-thousand on Friday and Saturday…and on the 16th…one hundred thousand. The additional 400-thousand will be given away in table game jackpots.
