Extreme Heat Breaks Records Across Parts Of The U.S.

Several heat records have been broken and are expected to continue to rise over the next few days.

Heat records have been broken while high temperatures terrorize parts of the U.S. prompting air quality health advisories.

Over 130 million people across the West, East Coast, Southeast Texas and South Florida were under heat alerts Tuesday. A large portion of the Western U.S. has been marked under red flag conditions due to risk of wildfires.

At least seven people have died and the causes are suspected to be heat related.

High temperatures are expected to reach 10 to 30 degrees above average.
