Family Kingdom Sued After Man Was Allegedly Paralyzed From Ride Injury
The lawsuit alleges that the injury occurred based on "a result of negligence, carelessness, recklessness, willfulness and wantonness of the defendants."
Family Kingdom is being sued for negligence after an incident allegedly left one man paralyzed.
The lawsuit claims that in July of 2021, Kul Sannyashi was visiting the amusement park and got on the Swamp Fox. The ride is one of the last wooden roller-coasters left in the U.S. and is famously known.
While riding the Swamp Fox, Sannyashi allegedly suffered a spinal cord injury and became quadriplegic.
The lawsuit alleges that the injury occurred based on “a result of negligence, carelessness, recklessness, willfulness and wantonness of the defendants.”
It also claims Family Kingdom failed to take any precaution to make the ride safer for guests.
In addition, it states, “defendants knew or should have known that the roller coaster required extensive maintenance and refurbishment prior to use.”
Ajury trial has been requested.
