Tips for Being the Best Host for Overnight Guests

Great ways to be the "host with the most"!

It’s officially tourist season and if you’re hosting friends or family this summer, here are some great ways to be the “host with the most” and make their stay memorable.

Make space for them to unpack their clothes. Clear out one or two drawers for their use or make sure there are available hangers and room in the closet for their fits.

You could also make sure they have easy access to essentials. Such as placing bath towels on the bed so they won’t have to hunt for them. Or, even provide a basket of travel-size toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and such, just in case they forgot their own. That way they won’t have to make a trip to the store.

Speaking of not having to find things. You could stock the nightstand with helpful items such as a small dish or valet tray to keep watches and jewelry. Also, provide a place to charge electronics and even set up a table top fan if the room lacks a ceiling fan.

Another way to provide extra comfort is layering the bed linens in their room. Invest in several different pillows as some prefer them flat and others fluffy. Also, some variety in blankets or duvets could help them get good sleep.
