Popular Canned Coffee Products Recalled Due To Potential Contamination

The products can be identified as the can will read, "Produced and distributed by Snapchill LLC.” That would be stated under the nutrition facts panel on the packaging.

Hundreds of canned coffee products have been recalled over concerns of botulism contamination.

The products are produced by Snapchill LLC, which is voluntarily recalling over 250 products that were distributed nationwide to various roasters and vendors, as well as sold to customers online.

The FDA raised concerns over the manufacturing practices claiming the company failed to inform the agency of the low aid method of producing the canned goods. The process poses a risk of the growth and contamination of the potentially fatal botulinum toxin.

T5he products were sold in metal can sizes from 7 to 12-ounces at a number of retail locations under various brand names. However, the products can be identified as the can will read, “Produced and distributed by Snapchill LLC.” That would be stated under the nutrition facts panel on the packaging.

Consumers are urged to either throw the canned goods out or return them to Snapchill/place of purchase for a full refund.
