North Myrtle Beach Native To Compete In Miss SC USA Pageant

The Miss South Carolina USA pageant is set to be held on Saturday in North Charleston.

A North Myrtle Beach native is competing in the Miss South Carolina USA pageant.

Maritsa Platis has been competing in pageants for 10 years and was crowned Miss Sea Islands 2024.

If she takes home the Miss SC crown, she will be the first Greek winner. If she goes on to win the Miss USA pageant, she would be the first Greek-American crowned.

Platis said she is honored and privileged to be able to represent North Myrtle Beach and the surrounding beach communities.

The Miss South Carolina USA pageant is set to be held on Saturday in North Charleston.
