Florence Police Are Investigating An Armed Robbery

The victim handed the suspect his wallet and ran. He reportedly heard gunshots as he fled.

An investigation is underway after a shooting and robbery took place in Florence County Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to the 600 block of Gladstone Street on reports of a robbery.

Upon arrival, officials were informed that a male victim was approached by an unidentified suspect who presented a firearm and demanded money.

The victim handed the suspect his wallet and ran. He reportedly heard gunshots as he fled.

Police said they located two shell casings at the scene.

It is unclear if the suspect was shooting at the victim or not.

No injuries were reported and there is no known suspect at this time.
