Caitlin Clark Was Not Listed On USA’s Basketball Roster For The Olympics
The basketball star said she was not disappointed with the decision. She added, "I think it gives you something to work for.”
USA Basketball’s roster for the women’s Olympic team did not include a WNBA rookie sensation.
Caitlin Clark will not be participating in this year’s Olympics. Her omission from the team was due in part to “concern over how clark’s millions of fans would react to what would likely be limited playing time on a stacked roster.”
The basketball star said she was not disappointed with the decision. She added, “I think it gives you something to work for.”
The 22-year-old, who is coming off a 30-point performance, including seven three-pointers, in the Indiana Fever’s victory over the Washington Mystics, said she was excited for the players on the team and will be “rooting them on to win gold.”
This year’s olympics will be held in Paris from July 26-August 11.
