Recall Placed On Over 1.2 Million Rechargeable Lights

They were sold at home improvement stores including Lowe's, Ace Hardware as well as online at Amazon and Good Earth's website.

Good Earth Lighting has placed a recall on over 1.2 million rechargeable lights.

The recall covers the company’s Lithium-Ion Powered Light Bars that have batteries that can possibly overheat which could prompt a fire. The issue poses serious burn and smoke-inhalation risks.

The lithium-ion battery-powered lights are intended to be alternatives to permanent fixtures in places where wiring may be difficult.

There have been 11 reports of the products overheating, six of which resulted in fires and property damage and one death.
