At Least 45 Killed In Israeli Strike That Targeted A School/Shelter
The Israeli military claimed responsibility for the strike and said that Hamas militants were operating in the school.
An Israeli military strike killed at least 45 people including 23 woman and children.
The strike targeted a school sheltering displaced Palestinians in central Gaza.
The al-Sardi school is run by the United Nations and acted as a refugee camp where at least 6,000 people were reportedly sheltering. It was struck without any warnings to get civilians out.
The Israeli military claimed responsibility for the strike and said that Hamas militants were operating in the school.
A spokesperson for israel said that intelligence indicated the militants used the school as a compound to orchestrate some of the attacks on October 7th and that at least 20 militants there were using it currently. However, the military gave no evidence to back its claims.
This marks the latest instance of mass casualties among Palestinians attempting to seek refuge as Israel continues to expand its offensive.
